« Creo que una de las razones por las que disfruto de las películas históricas, revisionistas o de época es porque creo que es una de las mejores cosas que el cine puede hacer. Lo hace bien en dos aspectos. Uno es que se puede recrear el pasado en una película y presentarlo de forma ficticia, porque sabemos cómo era. Y el segundo es que, al dejar pasar el tiempo, se puede examinar la verdad sobre algo que sucedió en el pasado, porque se ha podido observar a través del prisma del tiempo.
